Content Policy
Last updated 24 August 2026
Anyone can pay to list a website here, so this page sets out what may not be listed and how to get something taken down quickly.
List only your own site
Submit a website you own or are authorized to submit. Submitting somebody else's profile, portfolio, or page so that a crowd can vote on it is prohibited, and social profile URLs are rejected at submission.
Not allowed
- Scams, fraud, phishing, or deceptive commercial practices.
- Malware, drive-by downloads, cryptojacking, or hostile redirects.
- Sexual content, and any sexualized content involving minors without exception.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- Harassment, doxxing, threats, or content targeting a private individual.
- Illegal goods and services, or content unlawful where it is hosted or accessed.
- Cloaking — showing us one page and visitors another — or changing the destination after listing.
Enforcement
Listings that breach this policy are removed without a refund. A removal for policy breach is not the same as being voted out: it does not put the entry on the Honor Roll and does not create a vote record.
Reporting a listing
Email hello@voteout.xyz with the listed domain and what is wrong with it. Reports of malware, phishing, sexual content involving minors, and credible threats are actioned as fast as we can see them.
Copyright and rights complaints
For a copyright complaint, include: identification of the work, the listed URL you say infringes it, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized, a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights holder, and your signature (electronic is fine). Send it to hello@voteout.xyz.
Appeals
If your listing was removed and you believe that was a mistake, reply to the removal notice or write to hello@voteout.xyz explaining why. We will review it and tell you the outcome.
